Open Path Consulting
You don't need another unrealistic strategy. You need someone to help you see what's actually going on.
The work is centered on making sense of the full picture.
You've Tried Everything
Sometimes the problem isn't that nobody has information—it's that nobody has connected all of it.
You're Exhausted, Not Broken
Support can't depend on you having unlimited time, energy, or consistency. It has to make sense inside the life you're actually living.
Something is Missing
Looking at the child alone isn't enough. It's the environment, communication, expectations, stress, and the patterns that built up over time.
WHAT SETS OPEN PATH APART
Behavior Analysis With the Full Picture
Sometimes what is missing is not more information or another strategy. It is someone stepping back far enough to see how the pieces fit together.
Open Path is grounded in behavior analysis, but does not look at behavior in isolation. The goal is to understand what may be contributing to what is happening, what may be getting missed, and how the child, environment, history, supports, and people around them all connects.
Beyond the Behavior
Behavior is shaped by more than what happens immediately before and after it.
Open Path considers communication, regulation, development, learning history, stress and trauma, relationships, environmental demands, adult responses, and current supports.
The goal is to understand why this is happening for this child, in this situation — including needs, skill gaps, stressors, and patterns that may be easy to miss when the focus stays only on the behavior.
Connecting the Dots
A caregiver may see something at home that school never sees. An evaluation may identify a learning need that has not been taken into account. Providers may each be working on a different piece of the problem.
Sometimes the missing piece is not new information. It is seeing the connection between information that was already there.
Support That Works in Real Life
Support should not depend on a caregiver having unlimited time, energy, or flexibility. Families are often already balancing school, appointments, providers, routines, and recommendations from multiple directions.
Sometimes families do not need another list of strategies. They need help figuring out what actually matters, what can be simplified, what may need to change, and where to focus first.
HOW OPEN PATH CAN HELP
Individualized Support for Families
Independent Educational Evaluations for Functional Behavior Assessment
For families who need a formal, independent evaluation of their child’s behavior and educational needs.
An Independent FBA may be appropriate when a school-based FBA feels incomplete, current supports are not leading to progress, behavior continues to interfere with learning or safety, or there are questions about whether the child’s current program is meeting their needs.
Open Path looks beyond the behavior itself to consider function, learning, communication, emotional regulation, trauma and stress, environment, adult responses, current services, progress, and level of support needed.
Caregiver Consultation & Coaching
Caregiver-focused support for families seeking help understanding behavior, current concerns, home and school differences, daily routines, and what to try next.
This service includes both focused consultation and ongoing coaching. Consultation can help with specific questions, document review, meeting preparation, service navigation, or next-step planning. Coaching provides more ongoing support as caregivers work on routines, boundaries, communication, escalation patterns, and responding to difficult moments at home.
This may be helpful for families who feel stuck, are receiving conflicting guidance, trying to apply recommendations in real life, or waiting for in-home behavioral services, outpatient supports, school-based changes, or other services to begin.
